Engine light on car shaking

The shaking only happens when the car is idling in drive or park. I can put the car in neutral and give it a little gas and the shaking immediately dissipates. At normal driving speeds, the shaking disappears completely. The engine light has not flashed since, so it doesn't seem like it's consistently misfiring. My uncle thinks it's a sensor issue.
