However, I personally prefer the 80W-90 in the rear end and in gear drive transmissions of that era. Many on this forum have differing opinions on the matter though. 1. If the start safety switch isn't working properly, the starter cannot be engaged. The switch is in the transmission and is activated by the shift lever, specifically, looking for the shifter to be in neutral.
