I'm only going to do the engine we're not taking the tranny out of the Softail I just want to make sure that there wasn't something special about the Softail engine Evo engine did it needed to be in a Softail frame or not because I figure to Evo engine is Evo engine and I can just swap the engines out. If that made any sense or not.

All touring and Dyna motors are the "A". The main difference is the Softail "B" motors have 2 balance weights that are driven by the crank. Typically the "A" motors make a few more ponies, but the difference is very minimal. Also another difference is the a's are rubber mounted to help with vibes.
