Has to sit for a good 20 minutes before it'll crank.I don't know what setup is in the Recon. You can look at the valve adjustment procedure in the Foreman section just to get an idea of what's all involved. Most Hondas are .006 +-.001 so I usually set them at .005 ON A COLD ENGINE.
