The Bangor Humane Society is a nonprofit organization serving over 200 communities in northern and eastern Maine since 1869.The Bangor Humane Society works hard every day to ensure we are giving every animal that comes through our doors a fair chance at finding a perfect match. We do not euthanize animals because they have been with us too long or because we have too many. We will not euthanize healthy, adoptable animals to make room for new intakes. Dog Adoption Fees.
