1645 posts · Joined 2015. #2 · Dec 16, 2021 (Edited) There is no replacement wad. The Remington SP20 was the last 1 ounce wad for 20 gauge tapered hulls, and they are scarce also. There's a single 1 ounce load in Remington hulls using AA20 wad and HS-6 in Lyman 5th Edition Handbook.

Nov 4, 2011 · Federal cases can be loaded with 18 grains of Longshot and a Federal 209A primer or 19 Grains of Longshot and a Remington 209P primer and the RXP20 wad. If you want a 1 oz. load using the STS cases, a Winchester 209 primer and the RXP 20 wad, you can use 16.0 grains of 800X or 16.5 grains of Herco and a Remington 209P primer though. Like. I really don't think you'll have an issue. The F1 wads are out-of-print, so I haven't used them. In 7/8 loads Rem wads with Win case and vice versa works the best.
